Cleaning the Breville Bambino Plus (cleaning cycle)
The Bambino Plus is kept clean with Breville's cleaning (flush) cycle plus simple daily habits - not by backflushing, which this ThermoJet machine isn't designed for.
Weekly with daily use, or whenever the machine prompts a clean
Check your manual: Follow the cleaning-cycle steps and on-machine prompts in your Bambino Plus manual; cleaning frequency depends on how often you pull shots.
Step by step
- Seat the supplied cleaning disc in the portafilter and add one cleaning tablet.
- Lock the portafilter into the group and run the cleaning/flush cycle as described in your manual.
- Purge and wipe the steam wand immediately after every milk session so it never clogs.
- Periodically soak the portafilter and baskets in espresso-machine cleaner, then rinse well.
- The Bambino Plus uses Breville's cleaning cycle, not portafilter backflushing - don't block the basket to force back-pressure.
What you'll need
