De'Longhi Stilosa Upgrade Guide

The Stilosa EC260 is an entry-priced pressurized-basket beginner machine on a non-standard 51mm two-lug DeLonghi group. The honest ceiling is set less by accessories than by the grinder: with the stock dual-wall pressurized baskets almost any upgrade is cosmetic until you pair it with a real burr grinder and move to a non-pressurized basket. Prioritize the few 51mm parts that actually improve consistency, and confirm two-lug fitment on anything that locks into the group.

    Tamper

    Essential

    Replaces the lightweight plastic tamper that ships in the box with a proper flat 51mm metal tamper for level, repeatable pucks.

    Match 51mm exactly - 53mm/54mm/58mm tampers will not seat in the 51mm basket.

    Milk jug

    Recommended

    Gives you control and a temperature reference when texturing milk with the panarello frother; a 12oz/350ml stainless jug is plenty for this machine's steam output.

    Won't produce true latte-art microfoam because of the panarello sleeve, but makes everyday cappuccino foam far more controllable.

    Filter basket

    Recommended

    A 51mm non-pressurized precision basket (e.g. IMS) moves you off the dual-wall pressurized basket for genuinely better extraction and real crema.

    Only worth it with a dialed-in burr grinder; you may also need to remove the pressurized basket's plastic insert for a single-wall basket to seat. Verify on your unit.
